It may have been cold outside but was smoking hot inside as Kurt Jorgensen took the stage, in support of his new album “Stars, Bars and Guitars” which was released earlier this year.
Originally from Stillwater and formed in 1999, Kurt Jorgensen (KJB) and his band have performed all over the place, continuously turning first timers into fans, and fans into die-hards with beautifully sung harmonies, boundless energy, and songs reminiscent of homespun Americana.
With a variety of songs moving from blues to gospel to Americana rock there is something for everyone. There are even several incarnations of the band; Full band, Acoustic and solo.
The Full Band offers a powerful energy that of course only a big band can provide. The Acoustic Band shows off the harmonies and blues tones that The Kurt Jorgensen Band is known for, so it should come to no surprise that the band has won several Minnesota Music awards throughout the years.
