Founded by Cole Friel and Matt Burns in late 2009 with a $40 drum set and a passion for music, they started experimenting with psychedelic rock and reggae music to create a unique bind of melodies. After a few long months they discovered blues roots, Mitch Arndt, a prospective young guitarist to fill the much needed rhythm guitar and keys section. A year later, a talented Joseph Pogue, was introduced on bass. Riverwood has made multiple appearances at Fine Line Music Cafe in Minneapolis, MN and The Red Carpet Nightclub among many others, sharing the stage with many favorites such as: Jon Wayne and the Pain, Roster McCabe, Aaron Kamm and the One Drops, Useful Jenkins, Dead Larry, American Revival, The Premiums, and Mikel Wright.

Riverwood Dub played second and their frontman, Cole Friel, really believes in what hes doing. You can tell by the way his voice sits way back in his throat, like hes savoring the feeling. Do you like festivals, reggae, or bass players in fox ears Check out Riverwood Dub. Its good music, and they have fun playing it. Its nice and mellow, not too caustic. Joseph D. Pogue was a delight to watch on bass, he really looks like hes trying to feel every note hes playing. If I was the kind of person who enjoyed the Midwest reggae thing thats going on right now, I would have totally loved them.
