In the summer of 2007, two driven musicians had a vision: to form a metal band, and create the best music they could. Combining their talent and ambition, Avery Jacobs and Joe Dragich began writing music and assembling musicians to create what is now Perception of Intent. After years of hard work, and searching the country to find the right members, POI played their first show as a full band in January of 2010. It wasn't long before Perception of Intent were playing on large bills such as the Su.. More >>mmer Slaughter tour, alongside greats like Veil of Maya, Animals As Leaders, and many others. For much of the middle of 2011, POI self-recorded and produced their debut EP, "A Distant Voice", which was independently released on November 11th of the same year. Featuring guest vocals from former Bury Your Dead front man Myke Terry, A Distant Voice represented a maturing band, and was very well-received by fans.Through musical chemistry, hardships, and a shared desire to succeed, all five members of POI have coalesced to compose music that has already left a lasting impression. Perception of Intent's musical journey has only just begun, and their tireless dedication foreshadows their continuing progress.
